Yucheng Xie

Yucheng Xie is a tenure-track assistant professor in the Graduate Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Yeshiva University. He develops intelligent and trustworthy sensing systems that connect wireless technologies, mobile computing, and AI with human health, security, and everyday interaction.

Research at a Glance

My work explores how sensing and AI systems can better understand people, operate reliably in everyday environments, and remain trustworthy when privacy and security matter.

Smart Healthcare and Mobile Computing

I build low-effort systems that use wearables, smartphones, and wireless signals to understand eating, exercise, concentration, and fingerspelling in everyday settings.

Wireless Sensing and Authentication

I use Wi-Fi and millimeter-wave signals for contactless recognition of people, activities, objects, and biometric traits across real-world users and environments.

AI Security and Privacy

I examine attacks on sensing and AI systems, then develop practical defenses, secure mobile inference, liveness checks, and behavior-grounded ransomware tools and datasets.
